COMBAT takes its name and inspiration from the conceptual combat film, films made by American military cameramen during the fighting of World War II, in which movies were often at the forefront and live the horrors of war to document and show the American people - certainly not yet prepared for this reality TV - what was going on, including the bloodiest episodes.
The objectives of the award has the same goal COMBAT ambitious perhaps but certainly effective cultural point of view: get off at the forefront to try different paths within the panorama of contemporary Italian painting and drawing at the same time and document what going in contemporary languages. The
AWARD COMBAT thus promotes research through strictly pictorial and drawing a comparison-profitable and non-trivial clash, a sort of cultural combat, more than ever necessary and vital in the current uncertain period. The COMBAT AWARD is presented in an original form than the other awards having a uniform structure for regional areas to accurately monitor the differentiation of the different realities of the country and to present a new model of inquiry based on a culture do , detached from any purely commercial speech.
