Andrea Greco, artista mozzatese, torna dopo due anni in mostra nella sua Mozzate e lo fa dedicando l'esposizione proprio alla sua cittadina e ai suoi concittadini. Nella mostra, che sarà curata da Ambrogio Chiari, l'artista decide di esporre le sue opere migliori, quelle che in questi ultimi due anni l'hanno portato a partecipare a numerose collettive, sia in ambito italiano, non ultima la Biennale di Ferrara, che europeo. I visitatori potranno così ammirare le tele della serie Emotions, and the last of the series Polaroid born, those of the Moors series. was impossible for me to expose Mozzate and dedicate to the town and to my fellow citizens, the exhibition - the artist explains - because everything is born here and here. La tele della serie Polaroid, rivisitazioni informali di emozioni, ricordi o stati d'animo, immortalati in frame che richiamano all'istantaneità della famosa macchina fotografica, sono le opere più conosciute della produzione dell'artista mozzatese.
Greco ha la grande capacità - scrive Virgilio Patarini, gallerista della Zamenhof di Milano e curatore della Biennale di Ferrara - di evocare poesia, attraverso le sue opere.
La superficie pittorica per Andrea Greco - dice Francesca Lucioni, critica e curatrice - non è una barriera, ma al contrario una soglia per accedere ad una dimensione effimera ed immateriale, quella del pensiero; come se il supporto della tela fosse uno specchio per l’anima dell’artista, ed a noi osservatori fosse data la possibilità di varcare il confine tra il mondo reale e quello immaginario e passeggiare per le infinite vie del suo pensiero. Camminare nelle immagini della sua mente... Le opere della serie Brughiere, invece, sono le ultime nate. Anche in questo caso è il gesto a farla da padrone, anche se risulta decisamente più controllato. Si vanno a delineare così immagini caratterizzate da sentieri, prati, alberi, staccionate, a confine tra il reale e the unreal, the result of memories and emotion of the artist.
